July 29, 2018

Readings for this week:

29 July                        Job 22-23/Psalm 85

30 July                        Job 24-26/Luke 21

31 July                        Job 27-28/Luke 22

01 August                  Job 29-30/Luke 23

02 August                  Job 31-32/Psalms 86-87

03 August                  Job 33-34/Luke 24

04 August                  Job 35-36/Philippians 1

Things to look for as you read this week:

  • When Jesus is dying on the cross, who affirms that He is innocent?
  • Job's "friends" insist that his sufferings must be due to some great sin in his life. Does Job admit their charges?

Last week's answers:

  • From what group of people is the one leper who returns to thank Jesus for healing him? (He is a Samaritan.—Luke 17:16)
  • What is the occupation of Zacchaeus? (Tax collector—Luke 19:2)
