February 4, 2018

Readings for this week:

4 Feb.             Exodus 21-22/Psalms 17

5 Feb.             Exodus 23-24/Matthew 26

6 Feb.             Exodus 25-26/ Matthew 27

7 Feb.             Exodus 27-28/Matthew 28

9 Feb.             Exodus 31-32/Acts 1

10 Feb.           Exodus 33-34/Acts 2

Things to look for as you read this week:

  • Judas agrees to betray Jesus for what amount of money?
  • What does Moses do with the Ten Commandments when he finds the people worshiping idols at the base of Mt. Sinai?
  • Name the person who is chosen to succeed Judas as one of the twelve apostles.

Last week's answers:

·      What Jewish group did not believe in a resurrection of the dead? (The Sadducees—Matt. 22:23. That's why they were "sad, you see.")

·      God provided for the children of Israel in the wilderness not only by giving them manna. What else did God give them for food? (Quail—Ex. 16:13)

·      What does the eighth commandment prohibit? (Stealing—Ex. 20:15)
